mouseferatu: (I'm sorry...)
Some of you may remember that, a few years ago, I wrote up a little parody of the Killers' song "Mr. Bright Side."

Well, they've got a new song out, called "Human." It's a really nice piece musically, but the lyrics are absolute nonsense. I mean, even as compared to your average pop song, they really make no sense whatsoever. They're enough to make even the Beatles or Keith Richards step back and go "Whoah, what are you guys on?"

For those who don't know the song, you can find them here:

Well, given the fact that I am apparently stark raving out of my skull, and it's time for the holidays, I put together a version that makes a little more sense. It works better if you know the song--it actually works with the music--but if not, you can at least compare lyrics.

(And if this qualifies as fark, well... so be it.)

Seriously, I disavow any damage to your mental faculties that might come from reading this; it's obviously too late for me...

Copied and pasted from CNN (this is the entire article)...

FRESNO, California (AP) -- Authorities say they've arrested a man who broke into the home of two California farmworkers, stole money, rubbed one with spices and whacked the other with a sausage before fleeing.

Fresno County sheriff's Lt. Ian Burrimond says 22-year-old Antonio Vasquez was found hiding in a field wearing only a T-shirt, boxers and socks after the Saturday morning attack.

He says deputies arrested Vasquez after finding a wallet containing his ID in the ransacked house.

The farmworkers told deputies the suspect woke them Saturday morning by rubbing spices on one of them and smacking the other with an 8-inch sausage.

Burrimond says money allegedly stolen was recovered.

I don't... I have no idea what to say. Somehow, "Only in California" doesn't begin to cover it...
